What the student needs at pickup and how we handle emergencies.
Student readiness and required documents
The student must be legally eligible, physically able, and ready to drive at the lesson start. For behind the wheel instruction, the student must present the original valid California learner permit, temporary license, or driver license required for the service. An uploaded image may support advance review but does not replace the original document at the lesson.
The lesson is treated as an unready student cancellation under the less than 24 hour rule when the student cannot safely or lawfully participate because of any of the following:
- A missing, expired, invalid, damaged, unreadable, or legally insufficient permit or license
- Missing corrective lenses or failure to comply with a permit or license restriction
- Alcohol, drugs, medication effects, illness, extreme fatigue, or another condition that makes instruction unsafe
- Unsafe footwear, clothing, behavior, a prohibited item, or refusal to follow a reasonable safety instruction
- Missing parent or guardian authorization when required for a minor
The customer must disclose a condition or accommodation that materially affects safe instruction, but should provide only information reasonably necessary for safety and service planning. The instructor may decline or stop a lesson when continuing would be unsafe or unlawful and must record the objective reason.
Safety, emergencies, accidents and vehicles
Driving instruction involves ordinary road risk. Stallion uses licensed instructors and vehicles that meet applicable requirements, but instruction cannot eliminate every risk or guarantee that the student will avoid a collision, citation, or test failure. Every occupant must wear a seat belt and follow the instructor's safety directions.
The student may not use a handheld device, smoke, vape, possess a weapon or dangerous item, bring an unauthorized passenger, or operate a vehicle while impaired. The instructor may use dual controls, take control, change the route, return to the pickup point, or end the lesson when reasonably necessary for safety.
After a collision, medical event, breakdown, or credible safety threat, Stallion may stop the lesson, contact emergency services, notify the responsible adult, exchange legally required information, arrange transportation or towing, and create an incident record. Reasonable emergency action taken in good faith does not convert customer caused or third party circumstances into completed instruction.
A student owned vehicle may be used only with Stallion's prior written approval. The owner must provide current registration and insurance and must ensure that the vehicle is lawful, clean, mechanically safe, and suitable for instruction or testing. Stallion may refuse the vehicle after a reasonable safety check. The owner remains responsible for the vehicle's condition and ordinary operating costs.
A customer is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for documented damage, extraordinary cleaning, towing, or replacement cost caused by intentional or reckless conduct, impairment, or conduct outside the driving itself, such as interior damage, spills, or lost keys. A student is not charged for a collision or vehicle damage that happens while driving under an instructor's supervision unless the student acted intentionally, recklessly, or while impaired. Stallion maintains the vehicle insurance required of California driving schools. The customer is not charged for ordinary wear, a school caused mechanical failure, or an unavoidable event for which the customer is not legally responsible.
Student and child safety
Every behind the wheel lesson is given by an instructor licensed by the California DMV. Instructors keep each lesson to its booked purpose and route, may not bring passengers of their own, may not touch a student except as needed for vehicle control, safety, or an emergency, and may not give a minor student gifts, rides, or personal contact outside lessons. A parent or guardian may ride along when a seat is available and should tell Stallion when booking. Sexual harassment by or toward anyone involved in a lesson is prohibited.
Report any concern about an instructor, a student, or anyone else to the owner at Support@stallion-school.com or 530-630-9998; in an emergency call 911. Stallion reviews every report promptly, may remove an instructor from lessons during the review, notifies the parent or guardian of a minor, reports to law enforcement or the DMV when required, and does not retaliate against anyone for a good faith report.
Personal property left in a vehicle
Students should take their belongings at the end of each lesson. Stallion is not responsible for items left in a vehicle except for loss or damage caused by Stallion's own negligence. Found items are held at the office for 30 days and Stallion will message the account; unclaimed items may then be donated or discarded, except permits, identity documents and keys, which are returned to the account holder or the issuing agency.
Cameras, audio, GPS and promotional media
A Stallion vehicle or business system may use exterior video, location, route, speed, vehicle diagnostic, or safety event data for instruction, safety, incident review, fleet protection, and legal compliance. Stallion will provide reasonable notice before collecting in cabin video or other monitoring that is not apparent. Access and retention are limited to legitimate operational, safety, insurance, training, or legal purposes.
Stallion will not make an audio recording of a confidential communication without the consent required by law. A student or customer may not secretly record a confidential conversation where consent is legally required, interfere with a safety device, or publicly disclose private student or personnel information.
A photo, testimonial, social media, or promotional media release is optional and must be accepted separately. For a student under 18, only the parent or guardian may give or revoke this release, and Stallion does not publish a minor's full name, school, or pickup location. Refusing or later revoking future promotional use does not affect purchased service. Revocation does not require recall of material lawfully published before Stallion received the request, except where law requires otherwise.
