Keep the car quiet

No music and minimal talking during early drives.

Talk before, not during

Agree on the route and the goal before you start the engine.

Use the same words every time

"Check your mirror, signal, then move" works better than new instructions each drive.

End on a win

Finish each session with something the student does well, like a smooth stop or clean turn.
